AXLE PAD SCALE
These weight pads have a very large weighing surface and low profile making them our easiest method of determining truck axle weight. These weight pads are typically sold in pairs but can also be sold in multiples to get complete trailer or truck weight in one weighment. Truck axle scales can be used with ramps for above ground installations or flush with concrete for a pit-installed permanent application. Above ground installations are forklift portable and should be used with quick disconnect cable (see options). |

| Ground Requirements |
Accuracy and repeatability of the wheel loas are directly affected by the scale foundation. Cement is best for obtaining truck axle weight, pavement next best, gravel is least perferred but certainly usable |

| Power |
Axle scales are powered by a wired load cell display

HARD WIRE CONNECTION
Base axle pad models have hard wire connections to indicator displays provided at no charge. This connection type type is ideal for permanent truck scale installations where the pads will not move again. One end of the cable is connected to the axle pad while the other end is left disconnected and wrapped for easy shipping (see photo). Upon reciving the pads, you will hard-wire one cable to the indicator and the other cable to the second axle pad.
MILITARY CONNECTION
Military connections and quick disconnect cable can be supplied at an additional charge. This cable connection is suitable for portable truck scale applications where the pads are being disconnected and moved during use. This connection type also allows for easy replacement of cable should it ever get damaged.

30" x 30" AXLE PAD SCALES
These axle pads have the same specifications as standard axle pad models except for their shorter length. They are often used in trailer weighing applications with the front legs of the trailer being weighed with 30" axle pads while the rear truck axles are weighed with 84" axle pads. The signals are then summed with a multi-channel indicator for total trailer weight.
HIGH CAPACITY LOAD CELLS
Axle pads scales can also be purchased with 50,000 lb load cells (versus 25,000 lb). This doubles the axle scale's rated capacity and is used in applications where there is significant shock loading in the weighing process or for industrial heavy-duty hauling applications such as mining.
PORTABLE DATA CASE
Axle Pads Scales can be ordered with or without a weight indiactor. Units purchased with a weight indicator are pre-calibrated prior to shipment. For the ultimate in portability, the portable data case includes an M2000 indicator, dot matrix printer, and high capacity battery all in a water tight pelican carrying case. Just plug the axle pads into the case and you are ready to obtain truck axle weights and print out standard or custom weight tickets.
SUMMATION TRIM POTS
Base axle pad models do not allow for individual load cell output adjustment however the option is available. All load cells have very fine output variations which can be adjusted with trim pots (see sum boxes). If you need to check weight to the highest degree of accuracy for truck scales, consider adding trim pots.
